MLK Awards

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Awards are one of the most prestigious honors offered at the George Washington University (GW) and is granted to one undergraduate student, one graduate student, one staff member, and one faculty member who honor Dr. King’s memory through their scholarship, research, actions, and deeds in service to the university and/or the greater Washington, D.C. communities.

The GW community is welcome to nominate students, faculty, or staff for the MLK Awards in February. We recognize students who excel in leadership, academic achievement, and service in contribution to the university and the greater metropolitan region. To submit your nominations, please visit the Excellence in Student Life Awards website.

The MLK Awards are presented at the Excellence for Student Life Awards celebration in April.
