Latin Community
At the George Washington University (GW), the Latin community is a vibrant and diverse collective of students, faculty, and staff, united by a shared commitment to culture and inclusivity.
GW proudly has multiple student organizations dedicated to celebrating and preserving the traditions of North American, Central American, South American, and Caribbean cultures. These programs feature a range of activities, including, but not limited to cultural showcases, guest lectures, and various educational events.
Every year from September 15 to October 15, GW honors Latin Heritage Month, highlighting the rich history, culture, and achievements of the Latin community. During this period and beyond, the Multicultural Student Services Center (MSSC) offers support to the Latin Heritage Celebration Committee and Latin organizations in planning and hosting their events.
