Graduate Assistant for Student Belonging & Community Engagement

Pronouns: She/Her

My work focuses on developing programs and initiatives that promote student engagement, well-being, and critical exploration of identities and their intersections. I collaborate and assist the MSSC team with different projects and events for the students. My personal and professional experiences in and outside of the classroom are what have led me to develop a passion and hopefully a future career in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I am passionate about creating inclusive, diverse, and equitable spaces that allow underrepresented students to feel seen, heard, and comfortable within Higher Education. The best way I have felt that I can do this is by pursuing the Masters' degree in Higher Education Administration as well as gain experience and knowledge as a Grad Assistant for the MSSC. I recently graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Urban Education, where I was a Resident Assistant, peer-mentor, and intern for the Office of Equity and Inclusion, that worked with students to create spaces that allow them to express themselves and engage in programs that have paved the way for the work I do at the MSSC.
