LGBTQIA+ Life
The LGBTQIA+ community at The George Washington University encompasses diverse students, faculty, and staff, representing a full spectrum of gender and sexual identities, united by the common goal of awareness and support.
With numerous student organizations dedicated to celebrating and advancing persons of various sexual and gender orientations, students can connect to distinctive and diverse programming to foster community, increased awareness, and a more welcoming GW.
Throughout the year, programming occurs that addresses gender and sexuality from an intersectional approach, working to highlight how culture, race, socio-economic status, ability, and other factors influence notions of gender expression, identity, and belonging.
The Multicultural Student Services Center (MSSC) offers programming, health and wellness resources, student advocacy, and support through our LGBTQIA+ resources and initiatives. We invite folx within the LGBTQIA+ community and those who ally to connect to our center and its resources throughout the year.
