Gender Inclusive Bathrooms

Everyone deserves easy and safe access to bathrooms. At GW, our gender inclusive bathrooms (GIBs) help ensure that every member of the GW Community can access a bathroom that meets their needs.

GW’s GIBs are single-stall restrooms that are available to be used by anyone and everyone. GIBs benefit all members of the GW Community, including transgender people, disabled people, people with children of a different gender, people with attendants, and people who prefer additional privacy.  

Look for the sign, "Gender Inclusive Bathroom," to help you locate the 100+ GIBs on the Foggy Bottom and Mt. Vernon Campuses. You may also use this helpful Google Maps link to find a GIB near you.
