Graduate Student Engagement
At the Multicultural Student Services Center (MSSC), our Graduate Student Programming is designed to support, connect, and uplift graduate students across all disciplines and identities. While all MSSC programs are open to every student, we intentionally create spaces tailored to the unique experiences of graduate students centering community building, holistic support, and professional development.
Our programming fosters meaningful connections and offers opportunities to engage beyond the classroom. We have everything from graduate student game nights and community gatherings to insightful panels and discussions. Our Graduate Student Book Club features works by authors from historically excluded backgrounds, creating space for reflection, dialogue, and connection through diverse perspectives. We create spaces where students can unwind, exchange ideas, and build lasting networks with peers who understand the graduate journey.
We also prioritize professional growth by recognizing and supporting the unique ways identity shapes the graduate experience. Our programs intentionally explore navigating academic and professional spaces as individuals with identities connected to race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality. Through these conversations and skill-building opportunities, students gain tools to advocate for themselves, build confidence, and thrive in environments that may not always center their experiences.
Whether you’re looking to build community, grow professionally, or engage in thoughtful dialogue, Graduate Student Programming at MSSC is here for you creating intentional, engaging, and supportive experiences for all.
