The Latinx Leader Awards is a time to recognize students and organizations in the Latinx community for their outstanding achievements throughout the year. Any student is eligible and can apply when the application is distributed and can be turned in to the Multicultural Student Services Center front desk or emailed to the Latinx Program Coordinator. Each award is developed to acknowledge leadership achievements, which recognize and enhance Latinx community develop and retention. The various awards are:

Outstanding Leadership
Excellence in Community Service
Excellence in Social Activism
Outstanding Leadership Development
Cultural Engagement and Diversity
Promoting Academia in the Community
Best Collaboration
Alma Award
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate other students and organizations who have shown excellence in the community through commitment and dedication of promoting and creating events and sharing the history and culture of the Latinx community. To recommend someone for the award, you must fill out the nomination form including a description as to why the student/organization deserves the award, examples that show this and which award they should be given. All nominations are due the second week of March every year and winners are announced at the Latinx Leaders Awards ceremony mid-April.
